Kochi is among the first 20 cities selected under Government of India’s SMART CITIES MISSION
The Smart Cities Mission aims to rejuvenate the prevailing urban ecosystem through Area Based Development strategies. The objective of the mart Cities Mission is “to promote cities that provide core infrastructure and give a decent quality of life to its citizens, a clean and sustainable environment and application of ‘Smart’ Solutions”.
CSML is a Special Purpose Vehicle formed for the sole purpose of implementation of the smart city mission at the city level in Kochi.
