Development of Open Spaces, Playgrounds and Museum of Freedom Struggle in West Kochi

Improvement of 4 parks in west Kochi and a jail that served prisoners of freedom struggle. Major interventions of the Parks & Playground project include surface paving, landscaping and providing street furniture (such as benches, stone pergola, & post top light), fixing of play equipments, gym equipment’s, solar panel system, solar tree & repairing/constructing storm water drainage trenches etc.
Museum of Freedom Struggle: The project envisaged considers conceptualisation, design and development of a Museum of Freedom Struggle in the old Fort Kochi Jail premises. The proposal is to revamp the existing unused Fort Kochi Jail by improving the physical infrastructure of the complex and converting it into a museum with its cells as exhibition spaces along with landscaping, hardscaping, electrification, water supply, sanitation, provision of new toilet block and renovating the security cabin and also development of adjacent plot for landscaping and seating.
