Rehabilitation of Ernakulam Market

For the demolition of existing market complex and construction of new building, the existing shops need to be rehabilitated to a temporary place, preferably to a new location to ensure continuity to existing business during construction.

In the site, temporary sheds accommodating 225 stalls comprising 203 nos of 2.8 m x 3 m stalls and 22 nos of 3 m x 1.45 m stalls are proposed with 3.5 m wide passage space with skylights as shown in Figure 1-2. Total floor area of the same is 3458 sq. m.
